This year has seen Hurunui Trails partner with DOC North Canterbury on the maintenance and development of the first of the great rides – The St James Cycle Trail, truly ‘riding the big country’
Malings Pass has had work to improve the surface and water management on the western slope. The Homestead Run has been refreshed with drains cleared, trail mown – riding beautifully. As with last year there has been a real focus on encouraging riders to complete the NZ Cycle Trails survey online – trails need a minimum number to stay active as a Great Ride – if you have been out on the trail then please help us out and fill in a survey
